sound enjoyer at the end of the world // blue skies forever // don't just sit around and waste your precious time

got far enough into this current simpsons rewatch to see my favorite scene in the entire show. some of the funniest animation they've ever done and dan castellaneta's gutteral "ow... OWWWWWWWWWWWW" wrecks me every time

In the early 90s, Taito worked several times with illustrator and background artist Tomoaki Okada / 岡田有章 from the design studio Mecaman (known for their work on Gundam, Nausicäa, Speed Racer, etc.). _Rayforce / Galactic Attack _Gun Force (Master System version) _Darius Force (SFC) _Cyber Sterra 1/3

There's just the basic disparity, right? You enjoy something, play, read, see, do something and you hope at minimum that the person who brought that thing into the world cared enough about it to bring it to life. Why would anyone read a book no one wrote?

Man I still can't believe how hard this popped off While you're here I need to show off Raiden II's multi layer dynamic background destruction because I think it's even sicker than this speedkill Seibu pulled this off all the way back in 1993, imagine how mind blowing this must have been back then

Man, the timelessness of Falcom's texture work during its Windows 98/XP days never fails to put me in my happy place. So clean and pristine, yet still full of character even at resolutions nobody realistically played these games at on release. Some of my favorite stuff of this vintage. 😌
