Lol, I remember one of these chuds who was obviously trying to goad people here. His bio had something like "Here for genuine debate. If you block me, you're showing I'm morally and intellectually superior to you." "Cool, enjoy your superiority, babe" thought I, as I hit Block.

All true. I know (personally, have been for coffee with, stayed with, etc) three award-winning writers, people who've been at the top of best-seller lists, not one is financially well-off. Not one. All of them incredibly talented writers.

Creative & performing arts subjects received £16.8 million SPG 2024-25; £12.9 million in 2025-26; £ O million in 2026-27. The University of Creative Arts will thus lose half of its government funding this year; Art University Bournmouth 40.7%, Norwich U of Arts 40.4% and Leeds Arts U 30.3%. 1/2
