Old twitter would have been really funny in the age of disaster lettuce. But now we have horror foods and no chaos twitter to at least make it funny
Walking through campus today after learning that Dolly Parton died - I saw / was part of faculty huddling together to talk about losing her. I saw students yelling to each other that Dolly Parton had died - and how sad that was- in the chaos between classes.

look I may be bad at mail (opening, sending etc.) but a friend just found something she meant to send me in... 2005. The letter wishes me luck in undergrad. I am now a professor.
Reviewer #2, but make them obsessed with indie music. and grammar mistakes that not even the journal editor could find. This day in peer review is an odd one - even by normal standards.
my MA student just sent me her thesis ideas in a document titled "thoughts (and prayers suggested before reading)" A+ on the name alone

Pope:”Reading nourishes the mind, helps cultivate a conscious and well-formed critical sense, guards against fundamentalisms and ideological shortcuts.” Reading is “an antidote to closed-mindedness which manifests in rigid attitudes and reductive views of reality.” www.vaticannews.va/en/pope/news...

The thing about going to a coffee shop in the last week of classes is that even half an hour away from campus, somehow everyone in there is a student on the verge of a mental breakdown.
