Fun tool to see how many days are actually bike friendly given your city and individual preferences! I get 326. It's not perfect because what truly deters me is ice, and for rain, what matters is if it's raining heavily on my way out the door. But still very cool!
Alex Freeman@northernnerd.bsky.social · last wk.Toronto, ON gets about 335 rideable days a year by my rules: 246 green and 89 yellow. I set green above 0°C and red below −10°C. Find your number with Bike-Rideable Days by Shifter. #BikeTO

For Vogue, I talked to Ramell-Correen Frederick, aka Cheeks, who embroidered Knicks gear in the streets of Brooklyn after Game 5. He uses a 104-year-old hand-crank, chainstitch embroidery machine that he named Jessica.

Avi Lewis: "We have shoved Canada Post so far into the market mindset that every few months we have a national conversation about why isn't Canada Post making money. Does the ambulance service make money? Do the police services make money? We're talking about a fundamental public service."

Now that CNN and WBD are set to become state media in a sale to Paramount/Oracle/TikTok, it is especially important to support independent media. Off the top of my head: www.thehandbasket.co 404media.co www.garbageday.email Add your favorites in the replies. Fuck state-backed media monopolies.

Okay. I need a boost here. Looking for artists. We're talking about some potential comic book style art and/or concept art for the #iHunt film. We're privately funding development, so budget isn't Hollywood. I want queer and/or nonwhite artists. I want cool styles. Links? Tags? Self-promo?
