I'm pleasantly surprised to find that Google / YouTube's setting for "Allow third-party companies to train AI models using my channel content" is OFF by default and you can tick in the Channel > Advanced Settings option to allow it, if you wish. Then choose which companies can use it.

Matthew is really good at this stuff. It's so easy to overlook, but vital for great #SciComm #PublicEngagement

When it comes to #SciComm, good health and safety management enables exciting content and engagement. Whatever the hazard(s), big or small, I support production teams, presenters and exhibitors with H&S and risk assessments, enabling them to shine and inspire. www.matthewtosh.com/health-safet...

Matthew is carefully positioning a bowl of water in front of a high-speed camera in a lecture theatre. Members of the production team are standing either side of the camera lens. They are preparing to film the highly-explosive reaction of caesium and water.

Not long after this, Potato worked out how to jump onto my desk from this position. She got pretty adept at it too, not bad for a 16yo. Sadly, Potato took ill over the festive season and we said goodbye to her in the small hours of this morning. We had a lovely couple of years with her.

Potato really wants to get on my lap. This is very much the wrong way to try to get there, but at least she's trying!

A small tabby cat with a white muzzle has both her paws on the side of the desk. She definitely can't get up via this route, but she's giving it a fair try.
