Really feels like we lost the “AI generated menu” conversation. At the Queens Night Market and a lot of the vendors have either AI generated menus or AI generated food on display.

32 years ago today, we held the launch party for DOOM II at the Limelight in NYC, a former church. Happy birthday to DOOM II, but also, happy birthday to the Super Shotgun, the be-all and end-all of many a monster.

www.pcmag.com/news/does-fr... I got to play Dragon’s Dogma 2 ahead of its release, and WOW does frame generation make a difference! Check out my thoughts on Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen’s performance.
Does Frame Generation Actually Help the Switch 2? It Depends on the Game
I tested the first two Switch 2 titles to use AMD FSR Frame Generation, Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen and Stellar Blade, and came away with very different impressions.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer largely sticks the landing to me. A tight arcade racer with Burnout’s DNA pumping through it. Between this and Zero Company, a great reminder that Star Wars still has plenty of juice (especially outside of the movies)
Since this summer, @himynameiszack.bsky.social has been singing the praises of Star Wars: Galactic Racer, and that held true in the final release www.pcmag.com/news/star-wa...

Star Wars: Galactic Racer Was One of the Best Games I Played at Summer Game Fest
After years of waiting, Star Wars: Galactic Racer's Outer Rim rallies finally bring back breakneck Burnout energy, making for one of 2026's most unique and exhilarating multiplayer games.

The people in the rocket money ads are the dumbest people alive. How are you spending money on 4 subscriptions to Netflix? You should be tarred and feathered
Still one of my favorite bits of writing ever.
Were there always this many lines in New York City?

From a real Silent Hill sicko, check out Zack’s take on Townfall
www.pcmag.com/news/silent-... As a huge fan of Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill f, I really wanted to like Silent Hill: Townfall more. While its atmosphere is top notch and its puzzles are great, I was not a fan of its stealth gameplay or its combat, and its story and characters did not land for me.

Silent Hill: Townfall Had Me Stumped for Hours...Then Nearly Bored Me to Death
I love the mid-'90s tech and brain-bending puzzles, but Townfall's plodding gameplay and impersonal story turn a terrifying setting into an exhausting chore.

Was worried I wouldn’t be able to get into Fire Emblem again but I’m really enjoying Fortune’s Weave. Quickly rising up my GOTY list
I’ve shown Taylor Lorenz more grace than most. I thought her early reporting on content houses and influencer culture was ahead of its time. But this is stupid, insane and ahistorical. When was the last time anything fun or cool or culturally relevant actually happened on X, The Everything App?
Wow….wild to hear Taylor say she’s glad Elon took over Twitter and that it’s better than ever. I mean, the unconstrained growth of the far right on there? Musk’s thumb seemingly on the algorithm’s scale during elections? The impact on democracy?
Hate that this has happened so often you can track and map out the grift forming in real time

The best part of Control Resonant is how it understands the freaky liminal appeal of simply existing in New York City. My latest for @pcmag.com www.pcmag.com/news/control...
‘Control Resonant’ Loves Freaky New York City Just as Much as I Do
This surreal sequel is instantly one of gaming’s best depictions of the Big Apple, an urban kaleidoscope that’s unnerving to witness yet incredible to explore.

So funny to see all this discourse about Wolverine and watch like six different streamers fumble basic mechanics.
