It always feels so weird when I accidentally kiss my dog on her eye. Anyway. Dolly enjoyed a nice weekend away in the woods and I got to go too, as her driver and blanket concierge. She’s always so kind to include me in her plans.

Calgarians are really coming together to look for Parker. He was last seen about 2 blocks from here. I went out last night to check a couple of places and saw 7 other people there checking, too. So many people out looking. Cops just checked my yard again. I hope he’s found safe, soon.

Welp, I ended up with 62 mugs, a little short of my goal of 100…. BUT I also glazed nearly 38 other pots this week (shifted gears to keep production rolling) so… I’m calling it a qualified success. I worked damn hard. And I’m working in my studio all weekend 🥳

I hosted a taco bar dinner last night and to be fancy I pickled some radishes and red onion for toppings and gee, they look pretty!
I have 15 completed mugs, 9 thrown mugs (need trimming and handles), and I just wedged up 27 lugs of clay (approx 42 lbs) to try for a new personal one-day throwing record. Heading to the wheel. Trying to resist having a nap first lol.

New one for me last night. Power went out during pottery class. Amazing luck, the class was glazing (requires no power, as opposed to the pottery wheels!) and the studio’s emergency lighting is not too bad so everyone finished glazing as if by candlelight. My students were good sports!
