Tenno. Warframe lore dork. PM me your scarred vessel. I'm mixed and lgbt I get to say that thing you're mad about.

This is quite literally what "media literacy" is, and I'm sad how many people lack it. You can't really enjoy a piece of media without understanding the media in question, what it's making calls to, both in-universe and out, and accepting it for what it is. Those who can't just complain. Nonstop.

The average Warhammer 40k chud doesn't actually...do anything with it. Maybe 10 hours in Space Marine 2 and Darktide. No books, no pen and paper, no minis. They just reaaaaally like to whine. (Screenshot from a discussion of Necromunda)

today's youth will never have the experience of scrolling the 40 or so channels you had at 1 AM on a friday night looking for something interesting or horny and catching the back half of eXistenZ without having any idea what it was

It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better

At the Ghost in the Shell panel. Not even the screenwriter and producer have seen Shirow in the flesh. Shirow communicates only by photographing hand written notes and sending jpegs to his editor, who relays info to the staff.
