FWIW, I'm interviewing people who experienced ICE in MN and it's not surprising to me that they didn't react with voter reg + pol donations. People are disenchanted with mainstream politics, spending spare $ on rent funds + buying groceries for neighbors. Mobilized by injustice a la @hlw.bsky.social
ICE is everywhere. In 2022, ICE made arrests in 30% of counties. In 2025, ICE made arrests in 62% of counties. We ask: Do ICE arrests spark political action? Theory and prior evidence suggest it should. We find that ICE activity mostly does not mobilize citizens.

My quick take after reading FBI's Fulton County affidavit: it's a bunch of discredited recycled BS peddled for years by election deniers and it's appalling that a judge signed off on a warrant for the raid based on the "evidence" presented here
Affidavit for Fulton County FBI raid is out & begins with massive red flag, noting that "criminal investigation originated from referral sent by Kurt Olsen, [Trump's] Director of Election Security & Integrity" Olsen was leader of 'Stop the Steal' in 2020 storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
Looks extremely cool #PRIEC
Kicking off the #ASUPRIEC program is ASU undergrad María Blandón. Argument: pol knowledge research lacks theory, measures of know how relevant in street politics, like ICE ambushing people en route to school, work, church, or home. Blandón shares new metric of Knowledge Your Rights Literacy 1/2
It’s that time!! #ASUPRIEC, Tempe , AZ. We’ll post highlights of presentations from the program. Shout out to team @asuclapr.bsky.social at @arizonastateuni.bsky.social who organized a great program and a roundtable on redistricting & elections.
Crime is decreasing across the country despite a police-staffing crisis, Henry Grabar reports. He explores what might be responsible for the trend:
The Great Crime Decline Is Happening All Across the Country
Even cities with understaffed police departments have made record gains.

the question to ask about this is, okay, he wants to cancel the midterms. how does he get the VA state board of elections to cancel the midterms? how does he get the georgia board of elections to do it? how does he convince republican house members to quit their jobs and give up their paychecks?
Trump says a lot of deranged shit, but, per this Reuters article — and the threats of invoking the Insurrection Act in Minnesota this morning — he is very clearly exploring how to cancel the midterms. www.reuters.com/world/us/fiv...
"Even after accounting for the upfront costs and delayed benefits, enrolling marginal applicants to public universities generates substantial net returns for society, the marginal students themselves, and the government budget." Public Universities FTW!

This sounds less like a grievance and more like a practical how-to for junior scholars!
I can read the CV, look up the cite count, and see the journal titles myself. What I need you to do as an external reviewer is situate the candidate's work in the field and evaluate the scholarship's quality and contributions.
Clear evidence that at universities conservatives don't face higher obstacles than liberals to establish student groups + invite outside speakers. "These results fail to offer support for the view that conservative students encounter more difficulty in efforts to access campus resources."
Survey experiments have become a popular methodology among social scientists. Has it been effective? In POQ, Rauf et al. study the efficacy of 100 survey experiments. Their results show that a majority of hypotheses were not supported. Read now: doi.org/10.1093/poq/...
