And every time you engage with this franchise, you signal to the industry that there's still money in it and they should keep pumping out content from full-cast audiobooks to book box partnerships.

Great piece of writing on Vampire Survivor and the rise of gambling in games and culture. It depresses me that the 2D action genre has fallen into this pattern where so much of it is about random chance and builds now, rather than moment to moment play, learning and gaining skill.

I have a lot of thoughts I don't feel comfortable or safe saying out loud. I feel like even admitting that I'm having thoughts of any kind is going to cause problems. The stifling feeling is oppressive.
