The good thing though is there are people still on X who won’t leave and their staying empowers musk and extends his reach. Oh I meant bad thing. Yeah that’s a bad thing. Sorry I was confused as the entire game industry stays there and attracts new users while normalizing this hate speech.

Elon Musk, owner of X, has called the editor of the Economist "a traitor to the West, plain and simple" after her recent interview with him. He now argues that "anyone who opposes remigration is a traitor" Musk has been socialising violence since Aug25: "fight or die, that's what it comes down to"

The boys at @worstpossible.world dropped their 250th episode this week, and now that I'm not crushed under the weight of my responsibilities I'm so proud to say that I was along for the ride. You can listen for free on your favorite podcatcher, and there's so much more where that came from!

I am reading Dogsred and I think it's sick, but by far the funniest part of it is when Noda-sensei just completely lifts a character from Golden Kamuy and plops him into this story about ice hockey.

First panel: an older man sits on his heels on top of an ice rink's divider line. He has a wild haircut and facial hair akin to Tetsuzou Nihei from Golden Kamuy.

Second panel: a young skater stares at him awestruck. Thought bubble reads "That's Oino-Kami High's Coach! Toshimitsu Nihei!"

This framing is so disgusting and irresponsible. Yes, Taylor Farms supplies Taco Bell. THEY ALSO SUPPLY TONS OF OTHER RESTAURANTS AND GROCERY STORES. People will take "avoid Taco Bell" as the lesson which is NOT HELPFUL. www.wcvb.com/article/cycl...

Iceberg lettuce sold at Taco Bell linked to cyclospora outbreak, sources say

Sources say shredded iceberg lettuce supplied by Taylor Farms and sold at some Taco Bell restaurants has been linked to a multistate outbreak of cyclosporiasis, according to reports.

Go directly to Hell. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200. AI's tendency to make stuff up is specifically WHY I can't trust it with acting as my short-term memory, and I'm getting fed the hell up with people trying to use my neurodivergence to justify a "woke" use for their bullshit slop engine.

The story around AI used to be about generating more. For many neurodivergent professionals, the bigger benefit is offloading invisible labor: remembering what you promised, the dozen tabs open in your brain, the thread you meant to reply to. ⬇️

Do I have any voice actors following me? Starting to cast a wide net to find someone for "Welcome to Isaiah" to play an adult man. If you have a website or link with audio samples and all your info, and you're interested, drop it below, and I'll check it out this weekend when we're discussing!

There's a new phishing scam taking place currently on Discord and it involves compromised accounts trying to get you to "watch anime" with them through an unknown watch-party app (PLEASE SHARE THIS AROUND) 🧵

Four years ago, a coordinated right-wing smear campaign condemned Monticello for "going woke." Bridget Gillespie was working there at the time, and she gives this revelatory inside account of the harassment staff endured and ultimately how the institution buckled. Amazing piece.

What Broke Monticello - The American Prospect

How a right-wing smear campaign tried to silence the reality of Thomas Jefferson’s life, and in some ways succeeded.

We've sold a LOT of rainbow InfoWars merch (with more to come!) over the last month, since we reached a deal to take over InfoWars with the estate's court appointed receiver. We're giving 100% of proceeds so far to the families via whatever mechanism the court allows.

The Onion doesn’t yet have permission to publish under the Infowars brand, and Jones is fighting the takeover in court. Nevertheless, The Onion plans to launch its new version of Infowars on July 2, CEO Ben Collins wrote in a staff memo shared with MS NOW. The new website and social media channels will feature original programming, including a parody of Jones’ old show, and will route more than $100,000 to the Sandy Hook families, an initial payment drawn from rainbow-colored Infowars merchandise The Onion has sold in anticipation of its takeover.

Y'all. Please remember the artists that drew these things when sending around memes. I feel for these artists who NEVER get credited for these (and some, nowadays, are even being accused of being AI!) Here's a few common ones I see (feel free to add others, I want this to be a living thread): 🧵

scheming vizier reportedly depressed after king is taken out by previously unknown shellfish allergy instead of his elaborate plan put into motion months ago. "i don't even want the stupid throne anymore", he says, dejectedly kicking around priceless jewels

I don't like to catastrophize on here but what Google is about to do to Search is BAD. Bad for freedom of information, bad for the small business sector, bad for activist organizing, bad all around. I switched to Vivaldi a month ago. It's not the only other option. Start experimenting NOW.

Dallas' stupid-smartest sketch team, The Wickedly Talented, will be bringing old hits and new-to-stage goodies next Friday, May 29th at the Texas Sketch Festival! Funny happens all weekend long, but our showtime is at 8:30pm at the Club Theatre. Ya better be there! tr.ee/qleCeA
