so a pill tracker was a great idea for being able to tell if I’ve taken my (ADHD) meds or not unfortunately it hasn’t necessarily helped me remember to take them more, now I just have a better record of how many times I forget it 😭
'You'll choke too' - an aerial embroidery landscape inspired by all the wildfires happening right now... I'm upset every time I smell smoke outside and somehow we have people starting them maliciously too! But we all breathe the same air so they'll choke too (1/2 - see thread for close-ups)
another thing the parenting books didn’t tell me about is the times you get back from a haircut, only to promptly be gently roasted. “Why is your hair so short? (looks me over) You look like you’re in middle school.” oh okay!
doing a spot of genealogical research and just found a generation where out of (at least) nine children, only one appears to have made it to adulthood, and i'm just thinking about trying to tell that poor woman how we have the means to prevent that today and yet many are turning away from it.
Also you'll never get better at art if you just give up and let a computer do it for you. Don't forget the immortal words of Jake the Dog:

You ever think about how, even with the vastness of our natural world as it is now, there's whole ecosystems and ways of life that we never got to see in the past, and then you get really sad? Amyways that's how these baby dinosaurs make me feel.

"WhoD'nit?", a Myst visual novel / Phoenix Wright style murder mystery (and yes you would obviously be able to flirt with all the suspects!) I still really want to make this.

pleasantly surprised myself with my upper body strength today (the surprise was that I had any at all !)
my kids are really into making random slideshows rn, and 9yo said “we spent all the budget on this part” while presenting one because he’d manually stop-motion animated one of the graphics :’)
honestly i think buckaroos consider a daily gratitude practice to be some overwhelmingly difficult thing and really it is just this. very nice work bud
Dust on Both Sides@dustcollector.bsky.social · last wk.This is probably silly, but every now and then I stop and look at things like viaducts, shopping carts, chickens eating corn, or cats rolling there and back in sunlight and think how incredibly unlikely all of this is in the grand scheme of things. We could've been a barren ball of rock.
