I'm here to win. I want everyone to win with me. Unless your win criteria is that I lose, because then you must lose. This is why I'm antifascist. That's what it means. Fascists must lose because fascism defines winning as everyone else losing. It's that simple.

my room-temperature take is that you don't need a custom ROM to do this the same end result can be accomplished on stock android with an on-device "account vault" style app using a common API to communicate with other apps that support that SSO schema, no system access or custom ROM required
Happy Friday! I've been building towards an "Atmosphere OS", where my atproto account is the identity layer on a real phone. I wrote a little bit about it here:
ATProto is a post-app protocol trapped in a world of apps. I can feel it all around the edges of the network.
Meetup tomorrow! Important update: this event has a NEW LOCATION and agenda due to a change in availability at our previous venue. Come join us for a classic brewery meetup tomorrow at Lamplighter CX!
ATProto Boston Live (UPDATED)

The 'singularity' refers to the point at which AI outpaces human intelligence and becomes difficult to control.
Does god shed grace like a dog sheds fur, or like a snake sheds skin?
I swear I did not staple this to a telephone pole in my neighborhood in Portland.

"Pick us, because we're built in the EU!" 🇪🇺 Then: 🚩 still the same bad BigTech practices 🚩 centralized, walled-garden structures 🚩 "invite only" silicon valley growth tricks, not a real limit 🚩 some make you send in your ID or passport first (RUN!) 🚩 if they go down, your data still goes with them
📱How many American digital services have you used today? Probably more than you think. Much of Europe's digital life still relies on technology developed outside the EU. 🇪🇺 What would it take for European alternatives to compete? 🔗 Read here: thegoodlobby.eu/why-arent-eu...
BREAKING: My office is suing Paramount/Warner Bros to block their proposed $110 billion merger. Combining the two Hollywood giants would unlawfully reduce competition in the film and tv industry and raise prices for consumers. You shouldn't have to pay the price of corporate greed.

Seeing as age verification stuff might be rolling out faster than I would like, might as well throw out my half baked identity sovereignty idea early
Rhyzome: An idea for identity sovereignty
Disclaimer: This is an early AI assisted draft document, but I felt it important to publish both for provenance and to start spreading the idea.

Hank PLSSSS look at @atproto.com we are waiting for you to understand that we are working on all the things you are thinking about every day
My dudes, if you can understand SYN-ACK, you can understand consent
The 14th Amendment, ratified July 9, 1868: “All persons born or naturalized in the U.S., and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the U.S. and of the State wherein they reside.” This includes U.S.-born children of immigrants, as reaffirmed in 1898 by SCOTUS. Remember this.
Mamdani got into office and instantly: • Froze rent for 2 million New Yorkers • Cut subway fares in half for low-income riders • Fully funded NYC parks • Added $680M for public schools • Launched free child care for 2-year-olds If establishment politicians actually wanted to help you, they could.
I hope the eventual legal prosecution against the Trump administration goes after the systemic failures and not just each individual isolated incident

Jury nullification is not “ignoring the law.” It is refusing to lend your conscience and civic authority to the enforcement of an unjust law, an unjust prosecution, or an unjust punishment. A jury is not just a fact-processing machine. It is one of the public’s last checks on the state.
Normalize acquittal when applying the law would violate justice, morality, or fairness. TEACH the rights and powers of the jury to EVERYONE. Make it impractical to dismiss jurors that know about jury nullification.
This could eliminate a lot of headaches around the problem raised in @bnewbold.net's recent leaflet

The quiet part out loud he said
JD Vance: "I think Nixon's historical legacy is enjoying a bit of a renaissance, and deservedly so. I joked that if Watergate happened tomorrow, it would be like a 12 hours news story. The idea that it took down a presidency is crazy."
