I made it back to Europe. While I'm glad to have proper coffee again, pretty much everything else is better in Japan. The food, the konbinis, the vending machines, the toilets that clean your butt for you, and the sensory overload that is Don Quijote. Good lord that store is an experience.
The trend in paleo/cave art is cool but it is teetering on the line of some traditional Indigenous art yfm? I've seen people discussing tribes/cultures around the art they draw as if those cultures are a thing of the past 😕 I hope artists take time to research the styles they are inspired by

Japan has been making me fat. I'm not sure if the plane home will be able to take off with all the added weight. Everything here is so damn delicious.
I made it to the top Fushimi Inari shrine in the dark and rain last night. Incredibly beautiful, but a bit of a tripping/slipping hazard in the wet and dark. So worth it though.
First onsen experience yesterday evening, followed by a vending machine fruit milk on the balcony with a view of Kanazawa. Quite possibly the most relaxed and content I've ever felt in my life.
Just a chōchin obake having a daytime nap by the streets of Nagano.
Update: Nagano is pretty cool. I got a t-shirt from Don Quijote.

Came across a small Inari shrine close to our hotel. The contrast of seeing things like this in the middle of a modern city, right next to a random street, is so wonderful.
So, after landing in Tokyo, one of the first things I saw was some sort of demonstration. Not sure what it was about since all the signs were in Japanese, but one person was holding a large progress pride flag (the one with the intersex symbol included). So that was pretty cool to see. :3
Touched down in Japan. Been enjoying the vending machines.
