Whatever you think of Hasan Piker, at the end of the day, dude is a streamer. The coverage a streamer has gotten while we've seen a full-blown push towards white supremacy from the government, complete with dramatic pre-dawn raids and masked men shooting people across the country, is obscene.

A comic from the strip Non Sequitur that is representative of the "simple but wrong vs complex but right" cognitive bias, also known as the argument-from-incredulity fallacy or Mencken's Law. It depicts a single road leading to a two-way divergence with directional signs: the left fork that is short, straight, and goes off the side of a cliff is marked "Simple but Wrong", and the right fork that is long, winding, and steep is marked "Complex but Right" above a bookshelf filled with books. The road is crowded with people, most turning left at "Simple but wrong", and a very few turning right at "Complex but Right", each reading a book as they walk along the mostly empty, winding way.

This is a @404media.co appreciation post. What an incredible newsroom. They consistently report stories that are genuinely meaningful and wouldn't have received adequate coverage elsewhere - and they do it so incredibly well. I'm an enormous fan.
