Peacock Spider (genus Maratus), a group of tiny Australian jumping spiders famous for their vibrant colours and elaborate courtship dances to attract its mate. They are very tiny in size only between 2-5 millimetres ( the size of a pea)

So now we have it- not only the reduction from 12-13 to 3 grants from each board recommended for funding but the budget for applicant-led research to be reduced from £200 million to £113 million per year. This is appalling, Especially given all that is happening with medical research in the US.

Got scans of some slides I took of a Siouxsie gig at the Edinburgh Playhouse in Feb. 1981. I was a fair bit from the stage so these were taken with a low quality zoom lens on Minolta SRT 200 and with me guestimating exposure (Ektachrome 400 film). Great gig. McGeoch was some guitarist.
