Screenwriter in horror, thriller & mystery. Making nightmares for fun (and hopefully a career).

A gracious concession: “I want to congratulate Abdul El-Sayed on winning the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate. He is a doctor, a community health official, a Rhodes Scholar, and a dedicated Michigander. I am proud to offer my support as he takes on Mike Rogers in the general election…

Noise. Pollution. The Ozone Layer. Acid Rain. AIDS treatment. Cancer cures. Crime rates. Child abductions. As much as we consume doom and gloom in our media, humans are very, very good at solving problems when we want to. We just have to want to.

Food, man. Food is so much better than it was in 1986. All of it. Poor-people food, restaurant food, fresh food, frozen food. Food is just a hell of a lot better.

air travel is one of those experiences that has gotten monotonically worse over my entire lifetime

question though: has *anything* in the last 40+ years genuinely gotten *better*?

like, there's *more* stuff, sure, but is any of it *better*?

David Ellison may think we are stupid, but we know who he is. We know what he has done to CBS. We know what he wants to do to CNN. Support independent media.

The effective federal corporate income tax rate: 1950: 50% 1990: 25% 2020: 13% Stop asking "but how we will pay for it?" Restore the corporate tax rate. That is how we will pay for it.

This is exactly right. Spider-Man exists outside the Marvel phenomenon (whatever remains of it) the same way that, to a lesser (in terms of box office) extent, Batman exists outside of the DC phenomenon (whatever remains of it).

I'm seeing a lot of SUPERHERO MOVIES ARE BACK posts in the wake of #BrandNewDay's success. Spider-Man movies were breaking box office records well before the MCU existed. They are a cinema phenomenon onto themselves, because Spider-Man is a singularly resonant and relatable character.

FYI: Blanche rescinded the ORDER establishing the slush fund, not the underlying “settlement.” The settlement says any changes must be agreed to by ALL parties, not just Todd. This “rescission” isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on.

www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026... It’s time to turn the page on the same old play. AIPAC spends 43 mil on race against Abdul El Sayed. It’s sick. Get out & repudiate this kind of spending from a foreign country on our elections meant to buy our representatives.Vote for @abdulelsayed.bsky.social🫶🏼🫵🏼

Democrats face most contentious – and crucial – test yet with Michigan primary

Voters are faced with the thorny question of electability: who can win this purple state in November and potentially push Democrats toward a US Senate majority?

At the risk of making generalizations I really think men, particularly, need to be concerned about this. The kind of attention they are socialized to want is exactly what’s being exploited here, and other men are going to need to yank their bros out of this.
