If you're in California btw blame Newsom for the issues you're about to have with any form of state government. He vetoed a unanimously passed bill to help his state workers and has triggered the first statewide labor strike in literal decades. So get ready for important shit like the DMV to close

Uncut Femmes@juliagiantrat.bsky.social · 5d ago

well the governor is doing media tours preparing to run for president and ignoring that 90% of the state government is going on a labor strike in less than a week against him and everyone underneath him is too terrified of his wrath to actually do anything without his explicit seal of approval

Something AI is responsible for that doesn't get enough talk: How, when it scrapes a website to illegally steal everything on it, it uses up a ton of its bandwidth allotment, crashing it or racking up massive fees for site owners.

Yet again, the Game UI Database is being scraped to the point that it's getting knocked offline. Even Cloudflare's "I'm under attack" mode isn't working. I just wanted to create a resource for real designers. I'm getting so fucking sick of this.

So Christians can do discrimination in a one way street way as we all know some have banned someone from a shop and even business aka a job and don't get punished. But it's all okay for these assholes to complain if it happens to them.

Homophobes are very grateful to the transphobes who pathed the way for this. The racists can’t wait to get their turn. It’s only a matter of time. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

We want to convince people we’re the majority so we can get away with bigotry is a heck of a thing to admit to Which is precisely why we should not tolerate transphobia from Democrats. It hurts us and it’s not even winning you votes. Transphobes already have the transphobia party they’ll vote for

Tawni Monster Mash-all@tawnimarshall.bsky.social · 3w ago

This part stuck out to me because a) yeah, gaining critical mass to normalize bigotry has been the goal of the anti-trans side the entire time and b) that's a crazy thing to say anonymously

A Democratic strategist, granted anonymity to speak candidly, told The Sun the breakthrough for Democrats using more anti-trans language came last year, when Rob Sand, now the Democratic nominee for governor in Iowa, was asked by a conservative radio host whether he thought transgender girls belonged in girls’ sports. Sand responded with a simple “no.” The strategist said the moment immediately circulated among party political strategists.

“Rob Sand just did it, and it was fine,” the strategist said. “There’s power in numbers, and all you have to do is tell these people that you have the majority opinion. And then you can just say it.”

Oh so the Boomer Class (It's always the fucking boomers isn't it?) who have not faced a war, had the best of everything and now want the newer generations to be forced into some form of military conscription. Okay, but it costs you your triple lock. How about 75% cut to pension?

Saul Staniforth@saulstaniforth.bsky.social · 4w ago

A new survey says 43% support compulsory military service for young people. But guess what? Break it down by age and only 15% of those who'd actually be conscripted back it, while 66% of over 65's support it.

This is what happens when you get loud and demand Dems not drop trans people. We CAN get orgs to realize this. But we can’t stop with Kaptur. She’s the worst but not the only one. There is NO acceptable anti-trans vote or statement or ad from a Democrat. None. GET LOUDER!

Erin Reed@erininthemorning.com · 4w ago

The Congressional Equality Caucus has released the following statement in response to our story indicating they will not back candidates who "scapegoat transgender people." Kaptur does not appear as of this morning on their endorsed list. Several who took the same vote as her still do, sadly.
