You know how the public had to learn the hard way that HR(Human Resources) doesn't exist to help employees but to protect their employers from their employees? The political class is also mostly HR. Almost entirely. They exist to protect their employers from voters. I will die on that hill.

The thing about using the standard misinformation and scare mongering to drive the vote, while people are pissed and don't trust you, is it makes them question those tactics in ways they never have before. It can undermine the entire foundation of lies that the oligarchy was built on.
Way too many people focusing on the names on the tools and not the sociotechnical, sociopolitical, and technopolitical systems and frameworks underlying their design, deployment, justification, and use.
