Frankly it’s terrifying that bad-faith actors can whip Scottish politicians and journalists into a frenzy by purposefully misreading academic language, and claiming that academic language itself is suspect. This leads to very dark places. Read a book!

I can think of two other similar stories… Auch Estate (where Tony Parsons was killed) and Edradynate Estates (seemingly a grudge from a former worker against Brian Low) when folk think they are above the law it usually goes beyond persecution of wildlife.

This is very close to where we live, and to say these people have form would be an understatement. Unfortunately they also have extremely deep pockets and are notoriously litigious.

I think there's a generational aspect at play here where a lot of the PLP simply don't understand how ingrained social liberalism is within under-40s and that no amount of economic "radicalism", real or otherwise, can compensate for being seen to be reactionary.
