Crop yields down, our countryside scorched and over 2800 people are dead due to this summer's heatwaves. Meanwhile fossil fuel giants are raking in record profits. We must end this rampant profiteering, and cut fossil fuels from our energy mix as soon as possible.

Resigning a chair is one thing, but the Cody Butler is also leaving the party - I think his statement that chasing Reform's voters with Reform's politics does Reform's work for it, is extremely insightful <side-eye to Labour's Red Wall and Blue Labour tendencies>

Brilliant letter from Stuart Thompson to Jeremy Clarkson about his comments that benefit claimants should write weekly thank you letters to tax payers detailing how they spend their benefits each week.

Curse of Private Equity Our nurseries were bought by private equity firms – fees are up, food is frozen. Usual PE practices. Build local monopolies, high debt and prices, profiteering, worst services, high exec pay, shareholder returns. Parents/Children abused. Govts do nothing. archive.ph/Yk4Eh

Rod Liddle, who once wrote in The Spectator that he couldn’t work as a teacher because he wouldn’t be able to stop himself from shagging the kids, has died aged 66. I won’t be shedding any tears, personally.

Australia’s eSafety commissioner buried a report (released Friday afternoon) that shows the under 16 social media ban didn’t tangibly reduce teen social media use, and also resulted in parents tuning out of kids usage. We traded our privacy for no reason. theconversation.com/more-than-80...
