She was president of Louth Women's Liberal Association & Vice President of the Electrical Association for Women.

Jeanne Gibson, one of the last surviving Rosie the Riveters, died on July 29, 2026. She was 100 Years old. Born in Minneapolis in 1926, she was only 18 when she moved to Seattle to weld U.S. Navy destroyers at Todd Pacific Shipyards. Rest in peace, Jeanne

Dr. Fauci: "Get vaccinated." Republicans: "No." Dr. Fauci: "Wear masks." Republicans: "No." Dr. Fauci: "Socially distance." Republicans: "No." (A million-plus Americans die from COVID.) Republicans: "Prosecute Fauci!"

My older brother died on Sunday after a short illness, and I am comforted by the care he received. It is a challenging time emotionally for his children, my younger brother, myself, and especially my mum. Lots of things to reflect upon.
