Not bike style-related, but I've noticed a trend among stylish folks this summer: a lot of men wearing straw hats and women wearing baseball caps this summer.

as a transportation professional it has been apparent for some time, but this administration is not only making it more difficult with every passing month to do my job, they are _actively_ making roads less safe across the entire country.

Biking to the outdoor pool brings back memories of childhood! I try to take advantage as much as possible since in Chicago the pools are open only a couple of months.

Kinda makes you think that certain people's calls for bicycles to be registered have other implications in mind.

A mom and her little girl passed me on a cargo bike. The little girl had the same helmet as me and smiled at me, so I waved. She waved back. Don’t really get too many of those moments in cars.

The gossip email I subscribe to included this to be snarky but it sounds awesome and I totally agree (except go to a park, not a parking lot).

Air quality is really dangerous in the Chicago area today due to wildfire smoke. If you ride, good idea to wear a mask.

This is like the guy in my mentions a couple of weeks ago who thought the fact that so many cars hit his black truck while it was parked on the street was evidence that cyclists should wear hi-viz gear.
