Small Robots@smolrobots.bsky.social · 5h agoI'm aware this is very much Not The Point, but fwiw the reason non-human animals don't have to wipe isn't because of their diets: it's because they don't have giant, muscular arses covering up the relevant anatomy, which we do in order to allow us to walk upright. The trade off is hands, for wiping.

Librarians destroy books *all the time* y'all. It's fine. If you feel so deeply that a physical copy of a work must be preserved I suggest you be the one to preserve it. But you will quickly discover the problem with claiming that everything everyone has ever written must be preserved in hard copy.
