@abdulelsayed.bsky.social triumphing over something like $60 million, $32-ish million of it AIPAC money, is not a "narrow" victory, it's a people's earthquake. This kind of spending is oligarchy in action, to smother democracy through its formal channels, and is getting normalized. Still he won.

El-Sayed: "My commitment to Jewish safety is the same commitment that I have to the safety of my own daughters. Because if there is one question of political philosophy that ought to animate us all, it's what would we do if we treated all our kids like they were all of our kids?"
Mazel Tov, @abdulelsayed.bsky.social! Abdul’s win is a victory for everyone who supports equality, justice, and a thriving future for all - for Palestinians, Israelis, our neighbors, and ourselves!
Tisha B’Av is a day of immense Jewish sorrow, a commemoration of the destruction of our temple. 🧵
Last week, 104 representatives voted YES on an amendment to cut $3.3 billion in military funding to Israel. While the amendment didn't pass, this vote is a historic shift towards ending U.S. complicity in Israel's atrocities. We can't stop there.
A heartbreaking B'Tselem report focuses on the 54 Palestinian children + teens killed in the West Bank by Israeli forces in 2025--warning that these killings are enabled by a system that dehumanizes Palestinians and makes excuses for their deaths. May their memories be a blessing. buff.ly/PJrQ7RI
BTW this means that 71% of the candidates AIPAC endorses and actively supports are Republicans, and just 29% are Democrats
According to this report, AIPAC has ceased all fundraising efforts for 18 Democratic representatives who they were supporting after those members of Congress voted to eliminate all taxpayer funded (aka free) weapons to Israel.
IfNotNow Boston is proud to endorse our first-ever slate of electoral candidates, for the Massachusetts Democratic Primary on September 1! As Jews in the Boston area committed to a thriving future for all Palestinians and Israelis, this primary election gives us a chance to act on our values.
IfNotNow Movement is proudly endorsing @abdulelsayed.bsky.social for U.S. Senate in Michigan, the same week that AIPAC and its affiliated PACs have reached nearly $50 million in their spending against him. 🧵

Thank you Representatives Bill Foster, Sam Liccardo, Nellie Pou, Pat Ryan, and Linda Sanchez for cosponsoring the Block The Bombs Act!
104 U.S. representatives — a historic number — just voted to stop funding the Israeli military. This vote follows a slew of recent election victories by progressive candidates who support blocking U.S. weapons to Israel to bring an end to Israel’s war crimes in Gaza, Lebanon, and the West Bank.
In seismic shift, more than 100 House Democrats vote to end Israel aid
Amer Rabee was a 14 year-old American boy from New Jersey. But to the IDF, he was a terrorist. He was accused of throwing rocks, which should not come with a death sentence. Listen to his father, Mohammed, wiping away tears, sharing how they still have Amer's bedroom unchanged.

Thank you Senator @vanhollen.senate.gov for speaking out against integrating the US and Israeli militaries in the upcoming Pentagon bill - a measure that would reward Israel at a time when they are wrongfully detaining Palestinian American student Sama Safi under abusive conditions.

What happened to me in the West Bank was an outrage. But it is nothing compared to what Palestinians face every day. It is time to share their stories that American politics have silenced and ignored. This is our first video about Palestinians we met.

American Jew, here. Rabbi, actually! AIPAC is not, in fact, "Millions of people." It's a lobbying *org* that spends a lot of money to influence lawmakers with the goal of getting substantial military spending to another govt., & associated goals. US Jews are a *people*, with diverse opinions!
