After three days in a 86-degree house, our AC unit is replaced. We survived the last few days in our basement, fans pointed at us, ice water always on hand. With the new AC running, I can finally think straight again. What an adventure this was to wrangle RIGHT before I leave for GenCon.

When I read @barilleon.com 's Fall of Blackbottom, I thought, "This is everything this adventure should be and needed to be." It challenged heroes and forced hard choices. It's so amazing to see reviews engaging in that design. It's one of the adventures I reference most when I think about design.

This is really high praise!! I spent a lot of time trying to engineer an adventure where every choice had weight, and players‘ heroism would be constantly put to the test. I‘m so happy to hear that it’s landing.

Cone boy and he's SO mad about it

I went bowling today for the first time in over a decade and apparently still got it. I won both games and managed to squeak out a strike and several spares! Then Chris mopped the floor with me at a pool table and my friend and I waged war in the most intense air hockey game I've ever played.

You know March or Trailblazer have pestered/puppyeyed Dan Heng into using that form because they need him to lift them up to reach something on a shelf. Or tried to, at least. (Posted on Patreon in March)

I don't think I've properly conveyed how sexy the Summoner is. The Blood and Splendor domains are so JUICY together. I need everyone to make Summoners and to tell me about them immediately.

I thought the scratched eye would last a lot longer than it ended up lasting. I only needed a few days to go from nonstop searing pain, blurry vision, constant tears, a gritty feeling, and general suffering to feeling basically 100%. I can't believe how fast it healed, eyes are so freaking cool.

Between an ER trip for heart issues and my dog accidentally scratching up my cornea so I can barely see out of one eye, I'm having a hell of a June.

Ford has rehired hundreds of senior engineers after replacing them with AI backfired and has cost the company billions of dollars. AI adoption is blamed for Ford being the most recalled automaker in the U.S. with 51 recalls covering over 11 million vehicles in the first half of 2026 alone.

We're at the end of Shadowbringers now, but we've hit a wall, and we'll be here a while! Hades's second phase has the Captivity mechanic, which traps two random players in the Aetherial Gaol. These players can't act; untrapped players need to destroy it. So if this mechanic hits us the run is lost.

Today, exactly one month later, we've hit the end credits on Stormblood in the duo challenge. The biggest SB walls were: - Susano (required leveling to 71 to increase the Echo) - Tsukuyomi (required upgrading to full Scaevan gear, melding, & new food) Lakshmi and Shinryu were doable in one lockout!
