Wake up detectives, it's the end of September! That means it's time for another To the Point and Click! @mercutiglo.bsky.social and @sufficientowls.bsky.social are picking up where they left off, deep under the surface, with The Mermaid Mask! Streaming Wednesday, September 30th, at 7 PM PDT

A pixelated ad for the streaming show To the Point and Click. A purple handheld gaming device flanked by two portraits of Ben and Glory, both looking backwards toward each other. In the center is a the title card graphic of The Mermaid Mask. The title is in a sickly green aquatic font above an oddly shaped skull and some red coral. At the bottom is a 90s computer navigation window that says To the Point and Click

Blogging, podcasts, and wikipedia were never considered the equivalent of slop in the pre-AI. They were often low prestige forms of writing with less quality control than big publications, but nobody thought they were thoughtlessly mass produced. They were/are the labors of individual creators.

I think about Star Trek a lot (especially over the last 10 years) and, in my opinion, the best versions of it combine both entertainment and aspirational elements. When it becomes purely focused on getting/holding attention it loses something essential. Happy 60th anniversary, old friend :)

All the main characters of DS9 depicted in fan art I made to impress my brother, Gabe. It's our favorite show. The characters of Prodigy racing across a combadge as the Protostar shoots upward in the foreground. Fan art I made because I love the show.A mini poster I made for a famous episode of the original series featuring the Gorn captain in the upper left and Captain Kirk in the lower right. between the two likenesses is the often mocked battle of the two. behind them is the famous Vasquez rocks on which a metron stands emitting light.A quick sketch of Geordi LaForge and his true love: the warp core.

Our investigators, Saint and Alister, get a closer glimpse into Maurice Clayborn, the conceptual artist and murderer at the center of this chapter, and the madness that’s fueling him. “This is a man who can not handle critique” New ParaScience! www.infinitybreak.net/parascience/...

Okay so the joke here is that, you know Ice Cube, the rapper? What if he was a Final Girl, like from a slasher movie? That's pretty much what he is in the movie Anaconda (1997) which our Sneople discuss in this new episode of Sneople at the Movies!!

A pile of VHS tapes. One VHS tape has a label in the center. It's Cube, you know, the rapper, standing in waist deep water, looking up and to the right, not realizing that a giant snake is in the water behind him. Above the label is the text in white sharpie: "Final Girl Ice Cube" Below the label in the same font: "Sneople at the Movies". Above the main VHS tape is a cartoon snake looking at the viewer. In the bottom right hand corner is the white logo for Infinity Break, which looks like a microphone inside an hourglass.
