Boy oh boy i can't wait to get home and listen to the sexiest song ever, black sabbath by black sabbath from their hit album black sabbath inspired by their favorite film black sabbath

Over on Mastodon (I strongly recommend), @doublepulsar.com asked fellow defenders what's on their radars and how much of what they're actively dealing with is AI-related. The responses are overwhelmingly, no. ClickFix attacks and phone calls/social engineering remain among the top threats.

Sense check for people working in cybersecurity in operations roles in the trenches: I’m not finding or seeing cyber incidents off the back of Generative AI still. Are you? Not ones you’ve read about...

The best part of HOTD is watching Targs get themselves killed. And while the dragons are fire demons born of genetic testing abominations and blood magic, it is a little sad when they die and the show makes a big show of theor death agonies. Anyways, The Green Apple knew what was up:

Caraxes freaks me out on a visceral level but Vermithor is also pretty fucking scary. Show is doing a good job demonstrating why people hate dragons.

So maybe take all that "FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT" energy that's causing you to have some weird hallucinations about Kentucky law and instead use it to hit the "follow" button for Charles Booker. And even if you're out of state you could donate a couple bucks to the cause.

everyone has an answer to this and they’re probably all at least partially correct, but mine is that he doesn’t understand art, he doesn’t value it, and he doesn’t think it’s worth paying for. that’s true of most of our tech billionaires but he’s the distilled version of their contempt for humanity

i don’t really understand why Musk doesn’t just pay artists to make the art he wants.

It's gonna be sad watching Egg go full crazy Targ and blow a bunch of people up with blood magic. Seemed like he could been a good kid. Targs gonna Targ.

I now know: -a state dept lawyer who quit to be a bartender -a special ed teacher who quit to stock shelves at a home decor store -a data scientist who quit to be a personal trainer All are THRILLED with their decision. Is that a bigger trend or just a fluke I noticed among some friends?

If you don’t think some asshole softball dad will humiliate a cisgender girl for hitting an oppo bomb off their daughter by challenging their gender you have never met a youth sports parent in your life.

I've nailed nails in fenceposts, I've carried sacks of horse feed, I've washed dishes, I've run a kitchen at a casual restaurant, I've worked night shift security. Every office job I've had was better in every possible way.

this is part of the reason complaints about “bullshit jobs” and “email jobs” have never resonated with me, i have *had* the “real” jobs people fantasize about and they largely suck

Fun: the hospital in my hometown no longer accepts my parents' Medicare supplemental insurance, so they have to drive to the next county for any medical treatment. My dad, 77, recently fell and thinks he has broken ribs. He hasn't gone to the doctor to check because it's an hour drive. Sigh.

I stopped to try and help a turtle cross a road today and right as I was about to grab it, a truck ran it over. I made eye contact with the driver and signaled him to get over, and instead he swerved toward me to run it over.
