Fun: the hospital in my hometown no longer accepts my parents' Medicare supplemental insurance, so they have to drive to the next county for any medical treatment. My dad, 77, recently fell and thinks he has broken ribs. He hasn't gone to the doctor to check because it's an hour drive. Sigh.

Hey this is seven years late but I really like the 2019 SWAMP THING series. It’s not swinging for the heights of Moore’s classic run and I initially resisted the table reset, but the addition of monsters and ghosts and other DC characters make for a gory, fun mix of DARK SHADOWS and KNOTS LANDING.

I stopped to try and help a turtle cross a road today and right as I was about to grab it, a truck ran it over. I made eye contact with the driver and signaled him to get over, and instead he swerved toward me to run it over.
