Starting a new term tomorrow? Don't forget your ethos: teach to dismantle the institution rather than promote it, use the classroom as a space to organize, deconstruct fascist ideologies--don't let them dictate what you teach, complying in advance will not save you/students/us.

There’s a petition signed by more than one hundred academics (& counting!) in support of Nathan Cofnas—the racist who instigated the pile on that led to J. Arday’s death—because he lost his postdoc. Apparently there’s nothing a white man can do that deserves consequences.

What is so hellish about this is how mundane it all is. Sigh. It also provides mundane opportunities to de-tech yourself. Literally start by asking yourself, what can I do differently each day. And then keep asking.
