You know what's a thankless job? Whoever paints all those climbable ledges yellow; because first you need to find the climbable ledges. Oh sure, some weirdo can just hop up them but that's only because a union worker tested every ledge with climbing equipment and painstakingly painted each one.

Damn being multidisciplinary really kicks you in the shins when it comes to papers. The expected goals, wording, and citing are all different.
Please send me a win, universe. Or pain medication. A win or pain medication. That seems fair!
267, or not to six seven, that is the question: Whether ‘tis nobler in the mind to suffer—
The moment I laid myself down, after being out all day, my dog jumped on the bed and started licking my face with reckless abandon like this was some sort of master plan of his. He put his leg on my throat so I couldn’t leave! He’s still at it! Someone send help, I’m losing over here.

So here’s the truth: I get talking about just how pervasive this is is wholly uncomfortable. But your discomfort pales compared to how literally unsafe the rest of us are. With the most respect I can summon: grow. up. We can’t let every problem grow because discomfort needs prioritising.
I’ve dealt with microaggressions and violence everywhere I turn. At work, in classes, out in public, even at home and online. These days it’s daily, there’s no break, just escalation. And until enough people do some soul searching, that’s unlikely to change. So start searching.
Nah, you're right. Nothing more american than a genocidal prick who got lost, claimed to find something he didn't, and ultimately was an embarrassment to his actual country. Anyway, happy Indigenous People's Day to those in what we now call the United States of America.
name an italian more worthy of an american holiday than columbus
I’ve dealt with an absurd amount of racism and Islamophobia in my life, but yes, it’s getting worse. We make conventions targets in the current world, and our erasure is a comfortable way to feel powerful. In every sphere, every day, this reality is part of my life. And I’m “lucky”.
I frequently get asked if I wish I had some of the fame or notoriety others in tabletop do, but I promise you I could not handle someone making a *fancam* of me. No thank you, I think I’m happy being a complete unknown! (All respect to fancammers and those who have them, but AAHHH)
Do I want to voice act more? Yeah… yeah I think I do. Things you think about when you’re picking burrs off of your dog one by one. (We had a big walk)
People really assume I’m straight, wow. No, I am very, VERY not. Straightness for me is like the fancy grocery store. Yeah I guess I go there, but maybe only a few times in a year, and that’s usually for special occasions or holidays. And even then I supplement that with my normal cheap place.
A fun fact about me is that I know the NATO Phonetic Alphabet. And both sets of numbers. And yes. This has been a very used skill. VERY USEFUL.
I have mobility in my fingers again (though it hurts like hell) so tomorrow I’ve got a LOT of editing to do. And writing. Send vibes, eh?
I am begging you, fellow marginalised people, get rid of the cop in your head telling you that your victimhood can only be acknowledged by denying the victimhood of others. Nothing that has happened to any of us is so unique that we cannot find kinship, rather than competition, with each other.
One, I’m still practically unable to move my fingers, but two, boy oh boy is the internet insufferable today. The reactionary verbal sparring people are doing isn’t designed to help anyone… it’s designed to alienate and prove moral superiority, especially for a certain set of ‘morals’. Ugh.
What should success look like to me? Growth. I’m not talking in wealth or in audience, I’m talking in skill. Growing in what you can do, learning how to adapt better, and maybe finding more earned confidence in yourself along the way. That’s how I think we should quantify success, and so I grow.
It is hard to type or write, or even edit, when your knuckles are so stiff they only bend a third of the way. But we persist! Call me a tortoise cause I’m in this race.
Another day, another doctor telling me I have enough depression and anxiety for ten men. Whoever you other nine are, you’re welcome boys.
Mild anxiety attack kept me awake and in pain all night but we persist! And by persist I mean we’re proofreading our own work. 🤣
I get that my hair is nice but if one more fucking person touches it without so much as a how do you do, I’m shaving myself bald. I just can’t keep on with this. It’s hair! IT’S JUST HAIR.
Look, once again, it’s getting real racist up here in Canada. Especially for anyone who could be thought of as Indian or Muslim. And no, the “you aren’t real Canadians” and “Sharia law” bullshit ain’t just coming from white people. The stage is being set, and we can’t close our eyes to it.
So about that... Unfortunately life happens and we are going to be down a few folks tonight. More unfortunately is that means, I've pretty much run out of time to finish this season. The plan was to be wrapping this season up next week or on the 21st but we just ran out of time to finish.
The Storyteller has risen, and Philly by Night is back tonight! We are returning to The Monster Within with the return of Archon Sharifi, played by @werewolffeels.bsky.social! Starting a smidge later tonight, and we'll be live at 8:30pm ET / 5:30pm PT on: twitch.tv/dimplesndice
It’s the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation here in Canada. The problem is, we’re still not discussing the full truth. On how we’ve historically treated the Nations whose land we reside on, nor how we treat them now. We cannot reconcile with actions we refuse to admit to.
My next horror solo game, Sample, will be one of the last TTRPGs I work on for at least a couple of years as I pivot creatively. It launches in 2 weeks and it’s set during Y2K, following a one hit wonder who creates a demonic song to become something monstrous www.backerkit.com/call_to_acti...

“I’m entering the breakfast wars” is now the only way I’ll refer to entering the discourse.
Think of it like this: if I walk into the breakfast wars and say something like “pancakes remind me of my ideal breakfast, the one I wished for as a kid, so I prefer them over waffles” it doesn’t fucking matter that I’m trying for nuance… I’m entering the breakfast wars. I know nuance will die.
I’m doing some Cold War research for reasons and boy oh boy is some of the propaganda of the old days just… the exact same propaganda as now. Multiple broken governments pointing at the other to build fear and outrage whilst encouraging their own populaces into a false superiority.
There cannot be such a thing as a nuanced take in a space where how we view and respond to takes is based on parasociality. Straight up people see it’s me saying something and either sign on or lambast it simply because some like or many dislike me respectively. Nuance isn’t a one-sided thing. 🤷♂️
Hit me with your nuanced ttrpg take.
I say this with the deepest respect and worry: the moment you put a new big game in front of players, even if it’s in progress, you need to have it at least scanned by a sensitivity consultant. I’m not talking your one pagers, I’m talking the big leagues. It’s faster to lost faith than to gain it.
Shout out to my fellow survivors dealing with PTSD this week. Being assaulted on a college campus and watching your abuser get lauded and rewarded is beyond fucked. Fuck Cornell, those seven pieces of shit, and every other abuser who got away with it bc a school failed to believe the victim.
I backed this and so should you See you "su'a pitoune!"
