NEW: The Massachusetts Senate passed a bill to ensure residents don't have to leave the state for abortion care. While MA did codify abortion, the law didn't protect patients who need later care. Forced travel harms patients and uses abortion fund resources. Bill goes to Gov. Healey for signature
Many people think their blue or purple state fully protects abortion, however all but 9 states and the District of Columbia ban abortion at some point in pregnancy. Viability "limits" are bans.

North Carolina state rep Erin Paré posted some truly vile stuff in her official capacity on multiple platforms targeting a trans teacher yesterday, referencing alleged “concerns raised” to her office, saying she will work to ban all trans teachers. This greatly undersells how bad it actually is.
Some good news: Trump's DOJ has finally dropped its baseless prosecution of SEIU California president David Huerta for protesting ICE's brutality. This case should have never gotten this far, but its dismissal reveals how weak Trump truly is. Remember: attacking unions is a hallmark of fascism.
Those of us living with chronic medical conditions are not at war with our bodies. Living every day with a chronic illness is not living every day battling against an enemy.

My mom suggested to my daughter that they order a caesar salad to share. The look in my daughter's eyes as she willed me to read her mind when my mom tried to push after hearing "no" was rather chilling. My kid ain't taking chances with an intestinal parasite.

No drug has been studied more than mifepristone, and every study validated safety. This is the right decision medically, but judges should not be the determinants, we need an FDA that is fair, independent and without bias. A "review" without new robust data is a sham. @drsforamerica.bsky.social

I’m hard pressed to come up with any single thing that has been studied as much as vaccines & autism (vaxx safety in general), or as debunked as a link between vaccines & autism. But even more striking is how these people clearly think autism is worse than your child getting a disease or even dying
