Peacock Spider (genus Maratus), a group of tiny Australian jumping spiders famous for their vibrant colours and elaborate courtship dances to attract its mate. They are very tiny in size only between 2-5 millimetres ( the size of a pea)

#Artemis2

i’m not being mean or anything like congrats to everyone but i met one of these women and how poor and ruined her life was after she freshly fled in her car. her nerves were shot. she’s one of the people that made this possible, and she’s forgotten and unheard from

congratulations to the astronauts who get credit for a moon mission using rocket development work by trans women who had to quit their job and flee the state of florida and can’t celebrate this win with their coworkers

When you run across a post denying that we’re going to the Moon again and that NASA is “fake”, reply that you almost fell for their funny joke and when they then say “but I mean it” congratulate them on how funny it is that they keep the joke going with a straight face

I have to make and install the leg padding for our lovely plush dino, but I woke up with an idea for an art piece stuck in my head and I couldn't not make it a reality. So here is that art piece that I'm sharing with all of you. Thank you to the wonderful Artemis 2 team for the beautiful photos💜

How's an art piece depicting one of the recent moon photos taken by the Artemis 2 team on their mission to orbit the dark side.
This is a "full disk" shot with the face illuminated. Taken with a special camera lens, it allowed us to see the moon in colour for the very first time!
There's lots of marbled colours in various blues, purples, greens and yellows, reds and oranges, even some pinks!
This is a drawing (digital) that I did based on that photo.
There's text on top and bottom that says " if we can't take love into the Stars, why bother going at all?"
The text is in 3 colours to create 3 meanings.
The first meaning is the full text, based off of a comment I saw on the Carroll crater naming.
The second meaning uses the pink and orange parts and reads " if we love the Stars, bother going"
The last and final part is in orange and reads " Love the Stars, go"
The background isn't total blackness. There's subtle hints of stars and a soft glow behind the moon making it appear bright, and pulling the eyes focus centered on the moon itself.
