I kinda wanna start blocking everyone who posts about movies/books without mentioning the name. Like, it’s not hard. The whole presuming-everyone-knows-all-of-pop-culture thing is so exhausting. For every people who asks “what’s this from?” five will have moved on with a shrug.

This is what governments built around capitalism do. Instead of seriously punishing capitalists or breaking apart monopolies, they just keep making new laws and regulations in response to their failures. And then they slap a fine on them that won’t at all hurt their bottom line. Punishment theater.

Agree with this entirely, media concentration is a massive concern. No entity should own a sports channel, news channel, and entertainment channel. No entities should own more than six outlets, digital and print combined. Monopolies kill mass media, and the truth!

My hot take: lavender is in way too much stuff. Candles, skin care, food, coffee, makeup, it's in everything and I don't like it. Don't get me wrong, lavender is beautiful I even painted a picture of a lavender field once, but it has become far too ubiquitous. Stop it .

Well, it's a transition of sorts. It'll transition all of us onto a burning planet much more quickly. So, semantics, I guess.
