Bay Area friends: would you consider opening your home to these two cuddly cats? A friend found them behind a gas station. Their sibling, a black cat, got adopted, but it appears no one likes orange cats. They are being kept in a bathroom for the time being and need a home.

A friend of mine found these three kittens behind a Bay Area gas station. They are tame, vaccinated, and incredibly affectionate. Unfortunately, she's unable to keep them and I'm trying to find them a home. They are at risk of going to a shelter. Bay Area people, are you open to adopting?

I would like to make the prospect of being obscenely wealthy in society such a losing social position that we drive them all to flee to some island somewhere and then blow it up with a few tomahawk missles if they dont ALL donate 90% of any wealth over a million bucks IN THREE DAYS.

I've unpinned Discover Feed and started just using Following and For You, and while it's definitely *better*, I have noticed that most content is still stuff that provokes an angry/upset response from me. Not exactly rage bait, but close.

someone else smarter than me once heard me complaining about wasting a bunch of materials on an attempt of something cool, and said "yeah but that just means it wasn't a waste, that cost was Tuition" and it's really shifted something in my brain in a healthy direction.

real talk this is why i try to approach everything as a study i’ve been trying to get back to cooking for myself for health and budget reasons, and i started with “a study in crispy chicken skin” ive always had more success focusing on the skill and less on creation, but it’s HARD and UNNATURAL

People discovering today that the US already has free health and dental, discounted government-run groceries stores and programs for free college education. For the military. And that's a big reason why civilians will never have those things.
