I used to love doing cover copy when I was on staff at DC Comics. I found that it was always a lot of fun to try and convey something with words and design. Sadly, not many publishers do them anymore. Here are a bunch that I did while at DC.

Today is the 100th birthday of the inimitable Miles Davis, one of my artistic heroes. The first music I remember hearing is SKETCHES OF SPAIN, and Miles is one of the reasons I started playing trumpet. His willingness, his eagerness, to change, to rethink his art will forever be a north star for me.
