Iran and Oman have reportedly agreed that all ships transiting Hormuz have to go through an Iran-controlled corridor, and are finalizing tolls of 3, 5, or 7%. This would close off the path outside Iranian waters the US encouraged ships to use during the MOU, then started bombing again to keep open.

Proposed Hormuz deal would give Iran control of inbound traffic, sources say

A proposed deal between Iran and Oman would give Tehran control over ships entering the Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz, a senior Iranian source and two regional officials told Reuters, in one of th...

Tillis said Blanche had to meet with Epstein survivors. The survivors said he was condescending, rude & constantly interrupted them. They said he was just checking a box. Tillis wants slush fund order modified & IRS settlement gone. Blanche creates a sham order. Tillis wants performative nonsense.

Somehow simultaneously outrageous Christian nationalism, quasi-crusader warmongering, and I assume blasphemy as well?

60 years ago today, BATMAN was released in theaters, and not only is one of the great underrated comedies of the '60s, but when it comes to delivering the message "some days you just can't get rid of a bomb," it's second to nun.

Doublethink: the state insists you believe the president is brilliant and commandingly in charge AND had no control of, nor responsibility for, the top public health official in his administration, who operated right under the president’s nose at the president’s discretion, victimizing him and you.

I just keep leaning into if Fauci made such poor decisions and is so evil, surely the greatest, most smartest President ever would have seen right through it or stopped it.

There are only three possible futures: a) everyone in the Trump admin goes to jail, rule of law partially restored; b) Dems retaliate in full, and maybe that's a deterrent; c) neither (a) nor (b), so lawless authoritarianism wins again, and when Republicans regain power they ramp it up even more.

“Trump has rejected disaster aid for Democratic-run states at the highest rate in the 47-year history of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.” Right now people in blue states are basically paying federal taxes as if they’re colonized territories of red states. www.politico.com/news/2026/03...

The idea that black people and women should have the same rights and privileges as white men is still highly offensive to the right, and any telling of history that implies that slavery was not OK makes them furious. It's infuriating to me that in the 21st Century we are still doing this.

The Trump attacks on the Smithsonian are generally about Trump stoking culture wars and trying to be the sole authority in the U.S. — but it is also about race.

Saw The Odyssey last night and realized there’s another reason the right’s rage furbys are foaming at their mouths over the film. It is deeply antiwar, making an argument that builds incident by incident. Nolan’s sin: making explicit the vicious destructiveness of “heroic” ambition and violence.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei: "We will not allow the United States to determine when there is peace and war. The Americans are stuck in a self-made quagmire after 5 months."

Elon Musk, owner of X, has called the editor of the Economist "a traitor to the West, plain and simple" after her recent interview with him. He now argues that "anyone who opposes remigration is a traitor" Musk has been socialising violence since Aug25: "fight or die, that's what it comes down to"

If you were "stunned" by Trump's hateful rambling performance, then you haven't been paying attention for the last decade. If you sat in "silence" while Trump attacked democracy and elections, then you have learned nothing. We need an independent, pro-democracy media. demdock.com/4w6emld

Hegseth has removed 4 American service members from the official list of casualties in his illegal war in Iran, claiming the deaths during a ceasefire in April. They claim that the ceasefire made it 2 separate wars, so they don't need authorization from Congress to continue it. #ProudBlue

The four service members that were just killed in missile attacks by Iran, won't be counted as war-related deaths by our Fearless Leader and his lackey, Hogsbreath, because (get this), they were killed during a "cease fire"!! When did I move to North Korea? Who else is really pissed about this?

The US wasn’t dragged into attacking #Iran, the United States began attacking everyone like Venezuela, Caribbean fishing boats, threatening Canada, Mexico and Greenland, arming Israel, and I am forgetting the rest.

Imagine working this hard to prevent Iran from going nuclear and building nuclear capacity in Saudi Arabia, famously the homeland of the architect behind the largest and to date only mass casualty intl terrorist attack on US soil, whose current leaders ordered the dismemberment of a US journalist.

Did I miss the Senate vote on this, or did we just arrange a treaty on nuclear power without Senate review?
