my example of this: My mom was diagnosed with Celiac disease when I was 3. Eating at any restaurant was a nightmare and she had to buy all her GF stuff at a dinky health food store. I was diagnosed at 25. Most restaurants now have a GF menu and grocery stores have a GF section.

Concerns over fake phenomena cannot be held in good faith. There's no such thing as "good faith" concern over razorblades in Halloween apples or vaccines causing autism. If you still have 'concerns' about these issues you are uninformed, a bigot or being manipulated. No other option.

Good-faith concern on this issue would be going, "hmm, professional sports leagues should probably have some standards in place to ensure trans competitors aren't getting an unfair advantage," googling for 5 minutes, realizing every sports league already has those standards and dropping it.

I think most people are way worse at persona finances than many Bluesky posters admit. The more we can make financial security not dependent on high financial savvy the better off society will be - car-free cities, pensions, universal healthcare, making renting more affordable and secure...
