Jared Kushner is not "on the other side of the aisle." He's not an elected official. He's not an administration official. He's the president's son-in-law and a private citizen. You do not, in fact, have to take meetings with relatives of the president. Some might even say you should *not* do that

But it sort of is racist to blame immigrants for making your country "dirtier" and "poorer". Certainly the "dirtier" part gives it a racial edge that isn't just an economic argument.

One time, and I promise this is true, Bush gave a flip remark about violence while playing golf and it became a defining moment for his legacy. This president shrugging about a war he started while overseas at a golf tournament that is lining his own pockets won’t be remembered in two weeks.
