I understand most non-Japanese speakers aren't familiar with the Japanese word "meccha" (=extremely, very, really, super, so), but I still find it funny how people talk about Meccha Chameleon like it's some kind of a giant robot reptile.

There was a glorious time, before streaming, when DVDs were an excellent gift. £10 to give someone something you've seen and enjoyed, or a £35 box set of a show. Then as soon as everyone had a Netflix account the odds were they already had access to it and suddenly no one got movies as gifts anymore

I feel like animating for games usually involves making the animations like at least 50% faster than the first pass, just to make the "push button -> something happens" connection feel better (even though as an animation it might look slightly worse because of the lack of anticipation etc).

Also, the more I watch videos about indie games, the more I want to make indie games. それに、インディーゲームについての動画を観れば観るほど、インディーゲームを作りたくなります。

The main gameplay loop of Outer Wilds wasn't really my thing, so I never played more than a couple of hours of the game, but after watching a few playthroughs of it, I can certainly respect it. One of those games that makes me think about it a lot even though I didn't really enjoy playing myself.
