The Conservatives’ plan to cut Local Housing Allowance and reinstate the two-child benefit cap to fund defence spending is immoral. It would deepen poverty and make thousands of people homeless overnight. As the PM said in PMQs today, national security cannot come at the expense of social security.

A fascinating thread about the 'boatlift' that transported up to 500,000 people out. of Lower Manhattan on 9/11. An astonishing story I knew nothing about. Well worth a read.
