it really bears repeating over and over and over that the child who allegedly had her collarbone broken by her congressman dad is the granddaughter of SENATOR bernie moreno who has refused to stand up for her, or for his daughter who was allegedly abused, too. what a sick fuck.

I’m getting emails from all these websites & app saying when my kids turns 13 they get way more control over what they can do online. Oh yeah sounds like a great idea! Let’s let them buy cigarettes and drive a car at 13 too!

I can't stress enough what a crisis this is. Trump's own intelligence agencies concluded that Iran attacked Minnesota's critical infrastructure and Trump is saying that it's Minnesota's own fault and denying it was Iran. The federal government won't defend blue states in a literal war.

U.S. Sees Iran as Likely Behind Cyberattack on Minnesota Water Systems (Gift Article)

Investigators cautioned that the assessment was preliminary. There were no indications that any water supply had been rendered unsafe to drink.

I just want robots that are smart, competent, and charmingly naive about the irrationality of human society (Data, Murderbot, Roz from The Wild Robot). 🤖 Wtf with bots that are overconfident BS artists

Prisciliano Trejo Ricano came to the U.S. at 3yrs old. ICE took him this June. He was 29. He told his family he didn't feel right but ICE wouldn't give him medical attention. After a month, ICE finally moved him to a hospital Prisciliano died five days later enlacelatinonc.org/en/Young-Mex...

A mother gave the government her fingerprints, tax records, and DNA to get her 6-year-old daughter back. She did everything officials asked. ICE used that information to find and arrest her. A child welfare system became a deportation tool. open.substack.com/pub/adamkinz...

As Measles cases hit a 35 year high, as a senseless war rages on with no exit plan, as gas climbs to record highs, and the Epstein files remain secret, the U.S. Senate is holding a hearing today to yell at Dr. Fauci and again push horse dewormer on the American public.

“Ms. Moreno, the daughter of Senator Moreno ... has said that Mr. Miller scalded her chest and stomach by throwing hot water from a skillet at her body; held a gun to her head; pushed her against a wall and hit her head; and fractured their daughter’s collarbone and bruised her shoulder. ...

Powerful call to Yale's Trustees to "stand for academic freedom and independence." "You are among the most privileged people in America, which means the cost of courage is lower for you than for almost anyone else being asked to show it." 🔥🔥 www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...

A lesson from Hungary: Boards don't capitulate to authoritarians. The people on them do.

Saying it's important to protect the Supreme Court because it acts as a restraint on Trump is like saying it's important to respect a group of hostage-takers because, while they shot a bunch of adults, so far they have spared the life of that one baby

In this new @theunpopulist.net article I respond to @andycraig.bsky.social's defense of court-packing. His proposal is better and more creative than standard packing plans, but still a dangerous cure worse than the disease it seeks to treat: www.theunpopulist.net/p/court-pack...

Charges have been dropped against SEIU USWW President David Huerta. A win for workers! We won’t stop speaking up to demand justice for all workers, no matter where they were born. We will not be silenced.

Oh, done and dusted. And encourage everyone in DC and frankly anywhere to #DeleteDoordash. I don’t need a multibillion dollar company telling DC we don’t deserve home rule and stay silent about the assaults on delivery drivers by ICE.

DoorDash has been silent as its delivery drivers are hunted and killed by federal agents. Now, the company is backing #HR9720, a bill attacking DC Home Rule. We are calling on everyone to #DeleteDoordash. Let us know you've deleted your account and share your reasons why: deletedoordash.com

If I were a billionaire I would fund all the websites I used to read in 2009 so I didn’t have to spend every day scrolling through social media. I would give Caitlyn Weaver an unlimited Diet Coke budget so she could try every chain restaurant in Times Square. TWoP would thrive.

Christopher Nolan is so wealthy, he doesn’t use email! That’s how you do it. The Dolly Parton method. My eyes shan’t land upon a screen! Print that shit off!

This would be a good year for some other outlet to start (1) a liveblog of SCOTUS decision days and (2) a user-friendly SCOTUS docket tracker. SCOTUSblog is a gatekeeper because they're the ones doing those things and the Court's own website is meh, but they should not be the gatekeeper anymore.
