As someone with a front row seat to data center development, it does feel like one day the job site will just be empty and we’ll just have these massive swaths of cleared land for zero reason. It does feel Ponzi-ish, like how long can we get away with this bullshit?

Sometimes I will grouse about the limitations of the omnicausal analysis (‘everything is about race’, ‘everything is about gender’, ‘everything is about sexuality’, etc.), and someone will respond that Marxism is the same way because it says ‘everything is about class’. Here’s what I say to that.
