I love (“love”) how Microsoft has decided the reason no one uses copilot is becuase we just don’t know how great it is, so now when I open Word or Excel I get a bunch of example pop-ups in the corner showing me exiting basic functions I could always do, but now in the form of a question.

Talarico’s argument is simple: Stop treating marijuana like a crime. Legalize it. Regulate it. Tax it. Stop wasting police resources on low-level marijuana offenses. Clear the records of people whose lives have been derailed by nonviolent marijuana convictions.

‘MPs have had their stomachs pumped’: concerns over ‘alcohol-soaked’ culture in Westminster
Alcohol is embedded in profession where long hours, loneliness and lobbying are the norm, report finds Parliament is “Britain’s last alcohol-soaked workplace” where MPs are offered free drinks as early as midday despite alcohol-related scandals, a report has revealed. Drinking is commonplace and some MPs have had their stomachs pumped after consuming so much alcohol that they ended up in hospital, one disclosed. Continue reading...

Time to stop the subsidies. bsky.app/profile/jame...
According to the parliamentary annual report & accounts for the 2025/26 financial year, the cost of subsidising the bars in the House of Commons alone was around £5.8 million. Meanwhile, to save £3 million less than that, Jodrell Bank is being defunded and shut down. share.google/MRHIvCsCsKoc...

I’ve never understood why we subsidise alcohol and food for MPs or why they’re allowed to drink whilst they’re working.
Concerns?? There is a simple way to deal with the problems. Shut the bars. No other public servants are provided with subsided alcohol. Long hours - try working in the NHS especially at night. Loneliness - try being a haulage driver or farmer. Lobbying - try being sober while people are talking
Why are elected representatives getting shitfaced at work? If I did that, I would expect to get the sack at the very least.
The bars of @ukparliament.parliament.uk are a subsidised offence to all of the people who would be fired for being drunk on the job. If you can’t stay sober working as a highly paid lawmaker; you should be banned from politics.
I work for the NHS and if I were drunk at work I'd be fired on the spot and rightly so. The fact MPs are allowed to get absolutely sloshed at work - and on the taxpayer's dime, no less - is totally insane.
