Ian Cathro takes St Etienne five points clear at the top of the French second tier. They’ve started the season with five consecutive victories. Must have learned something at Tynecastle.

I’m in The Diggers. There’s a young couple in a corner both reading thick paperbacks. He’s got a Guinness and she has red wine. There’s an older couple next to them and the guy is reading Private Eye and she has something lurid green in a wine glass.
Been spending quite a bit of time with Apple Intelligence, due to writing about the upcoming operating system upgrades. It’ll be interesting how it shakes out in terms of people’s expectations. For me, it’s just added to my scepticism.🧵
The UN is expected to vote Friday on whether to endorse a world map that more accurately depicts the size of Africa. The new Equal Earth projection shows countries’ true size relative to one another, unlike the centuries-old Mercator map, which critics say makes Africa look smaller than it is.

A mall thing, but Farage boasted to the US “donor” that he worked with Drexel Burnham Lambert. This was a US bank that collapsed in 1990 after becoming embroiled in criminal activity. One wonders why Farage is so proud of his connections here.

Discovered there’s a lot of posts about UK pubs on here. Started with Edinburgh flat roofed murder pubs and then it’s like going down a rabbit hole.
