Hey!! Here's a new piece for @thepointau.bsky.social - Australia's gov is set to announce more details about data centre energy regulation, and I think it's VERY likely they'll come packaged with carbon offset style greenwashing tricks thepoint.com.au/opinions/260...

Religion and the Census. It is not always easy to break away from toxic religious institutions run by overlord cunts, peddling secrets and lies. Imagine no religion, just soul connected people embracing their humanity. 🌻

Tim Costello shocks the Senate after revealing a young man in prison who had his life turned upside down from gambling was being offered drugs & escorts by TAB & SportsBet as inducements “He was given escorts” & “asked, ‘what drugs you like?’” And we’re still just debating ads?

Dear Australian news media, I have zero interest in your daily coverage of everything Pauline Hanson says and does. Yes, report her policies (when she releases them). But also report the policies of the Greens too. For balance. With some factual analysis of both. Do some bloody #journalism! #auspol
Religions will continue to avoid tax and oppose assisted dying, reproductive health, LGBT+ rights, and hide paedophiles until 51% of Australians mark ‘no religion’ on the census.
The ultimate legacy of the Trump presidency (and, I fear, of the US itself) will be that it unleashed the worst impulses of corporations (big tech/AI; polluters), nations (Israel, Russia) and organisations (FIFA), allowing them to act with impunity. A world of immoral, suicidal lawlessness.

As an educator, I am concerned about the destruction of truth. There is a concerted effort to wipe away the importance of truth across the board — an attempt to make trusted authorities into optics of suspicion. We must keep defending all the brave, courageous truth-tellers out there.
Much of the clout religions claim is based on the numbers detailed by the census. Many Australians tick the box of the religion their parents or grandparents followed, as a cultural thing. It would be great if we could all tick #NoReligion if we have no religion. #AusPol
I'm so fed up with hearing what Segal proposes. We need universal protections that work for all. Carving out one group & giving them special attention creates flawed policies that are divisive & short sighted

If you’re wondering why UK press has suddenly woken up to Farage, please read this. It’s because: Brexit. The r/w press refused to scrutinise the money behind Farage & the lawsuit against me scared off the rest. But this isn’t a new scandal. It’s the same one I’ve been reporting on for a decade
NEW: Who funds Nigel Farage? And why has it taken till now for any journalistic scrutiny? @carolecadwalla.bsky.social who has tracked him for a decade exposes how the UK press & regulators looked the other way 🧵👇
I'm watching the Trump speech because I have to for my job and it's the most batshit crazy presidential speech I've ever heard in my nearly 50 years alive Where it's coherent—which is only intermittently—it's on its face the largest tureen of turd soup any POTUS has ever served
Daily reminder: israel funded & armed hamas since the 1980s, Palestinians fought Nazis in WWII, Palestine’s roots go back to the 2nd century, genocide has raged since 1948, ethnic cleansing is evil🇵🇸😢 Hart28.com
Sophie McNeill, award-winning fmr ABC journo, now Greens MP (WA) publicised Perth Doctors for Palestine’s exhibition ‘The Wall of Tears’ with the names of >18,000 children killed in Gaza by Israeli forces @news.abc.net.au's only query was “how do we know that the funds raised haven’t gone to Hamas”
@news.abc.net.au Doesn’t favour Israel huh?
