Minnesota Public Radio says today marks the first and only shooting and homicide in Minneapolis in the year 2026

Betty Reid Soskin, who served as the country's oldest National Park Service ranger, has died at the age of 104. Soskin’s family announced her death on Facebook, saying she died peacefully at her home in Richmond, California. “She led a fully packed life and was ready to leave," the statement read.
