A city centre should not function as a shortcut for motorists passing through. It should serve as the 'gezellige' living room of the city: a place where residents and tourists feel comfortable spending time, where children move freely, and where local businesses benefit from a vibrant public realm.
I recently returned from a trip to Prague/Bratislava/Budapest. And of course, identified some quality "why can't us?" content along the way. But since there was a heat wave there last week, and one here starting today, I'll start with this: misters! There were walk-through misters in each city!
