I don't live in MI and I don't consider myself to be a Democrat, but I am encouraged to see an election won, even though it was out spent astronomically. It gives me hope that the huge money in politics has not yet gained full control.

Abdul El-Sayed was outspent 9-to-1 by AIPAC and corporate Super PACs in the most expensive Senate Democratic primary of all time. Last night, he proved that organized people can beat organized money.

This is maybe the perfect example of @gregpak.net bit that replacing every instance of “AI” with “cocaine” gets to the deeper truth of the attitude.

A big part of this year's SDCC was celebrating our dear friend Gerry Conway, who passed away in April. It was an honor to be part of the Gerry Conway Celebration panel that Paul Levitz put together, and to see his wife Laura accept his Eisner Hall of Fame award.

Two days post-SDCC, and still totally wrecked. Was wondering how I used to make it back to the day job on Monday, then I remembered I haven't had a day job since 2016, so I was a full decade younger 😅 And able-bodied. Hope everyone is taking care of themselves and getting the rest they need!

I want companies to understand that when I see an AI flier, my brain instantly deletes it. I don't think, "Ooh, I should go to this event!" I rush past it like it's a pile of dog poop. Same for ads with AI models. I assume that if your marketing is cheap garbage, so is your product.
