The Justice Department has reached a deal with Boeing that will allow the airplane giant to avoid criminal prosecution for allegedly misleading U.S. regulators about the 737 Max jetliner before two of the planes crashed and killed 346 people, according to court papers filed Friday.

DOJ reaches deal to allow Boeing to avoid prosecution over 737 Max crashes

Under the “agreement in principle,” which still needs to be finalized, Boeing would pay or invest more than $1.1 billion, including an additional $445 million for the crash victims’ families, the…

Reminder this shut the fuck up Friday: "I INVOKE MY RIGHTS TO SILENCE AND COUNSEL AND WILL NOT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS WITHOUT MY ATTORNEY PRESENT" is the only thing you should say to law enforcement besides asking if you're being detained and providing ID in a stop and ID state. Seriously.

More MAGA crimes: Dignity health RN Julie Christine Sanchez, attacked a 7 month pregnant street vendor and went on a racist tirade. She screamed "get out of my neighborhood", "you bring down my property values" and "speak English" Attorney is calling for hate crime charges.

National security ain’t supposed to be a family affair, but apparently Pete Hegseth missed that memo. Leaking classified military plans—TWICE—the second time on a personal Signal chat to friends and family? That man has no business being Defense Secretary. He’s a threat, not a leader.

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!

I can't believe I used to support this man. At a Sanders rally, some of his supporters unfurl a Free Palestine flag and cops come to arrest them. The whole crowd erupts in boos for the cops! Huge pro-Palestinian solidarity moment! What does Sanders do? He tries to shut the protestors down 🤮

Going to be careful about how I word this, for obvious reasons: If anyone tries to take you, someone you know, or even just in front of you to a secondary location, DO NOT go. DO NOT let it happen. You/they may not come back. This is always true, but especially now.

As of Friday, there have been 46 cases in which federal judges have blocked Trump policies. The rulings in those cases have come from 39 different judges appointed by 5 different presidents (of both parties) to 11 different district courts across 7 different circuits. Maybe it's not the judges?

If more of us had cared about what happened to the people of Flint (when one person from a government took over and deprived them of basic human necessities) we’d be less surprised and more prepared for Musk.

If you don't leave a protest or rally with 10, 100, 1000 new contacts ready to take the same actions daily after the protest, what have you accomplished other than putting yourselves on their records? Than exposing thousands of people to arrest (and illness😷👀) without any practical gain?

We have to be willing to give up supporting any venue, corporation, etc that does this. It will be used for increasingly fucked up reasons and we need to say no en masse if we want it to stop. Support what you love in other ways. You can give up concerts & games if they do this. I believe in you.

That facial recognition system at Madison Square Garden sure has been REALLY great for proving that all the worst predictions and fears us researchers have had about facial recognition were accurate and valid: www.theverge.com/news/637228/...

Attended a protest outside Republican Representative Lisa McClain’s office in Lake Orion today. We did not find her, but a group of 60-70 protesters found community today in a tiny town at the edge of giant District 9. ❤️
