“Because we’ve seen this movie, we know how it ends, which is a politician in robes who is following Trump’s orders on most major questions.” - @blumenthal.senate.gov Every single Sen Democrat should be committing to blocking every Trump nominee to any federal court.

Some Democrats don’t expect to fill a Supreme Court vacancy under Trump

Democrats need a net gain of four seats to capture the Senate. If they get it, they’d control what happens in a vacancy, as Justice Samuel Alito admits he has thought about retirement.

I am so tired of Dems telling me it’s raining. I know it is. I’m soaking wet. Tell me how you’re working to keep us safe & dry. Yes you’re the minority. Tell me about a “no” vote or a procedural maneuver, or visit an ICE facility. Anything beyond “I’m working hard” posts & strongly worded letters.

You shouldn't need a second job just to cover rent and groceries. You shouldn't have to skip a doctor's visit because you got kicked off your insurance. Families are working harder than ever and still falling behind. I'm fighting to change that.

I love the Cornell Sun for their drive and moral clarity about how the university has failed its students and community. As an alum I want the President and anyone involved removed from office. What a travesty. www.thecut.com/article/corn...

How Student Journalists Broke the ‘Cornell Seven’ Case

“Our coverage was absolutely completely raw from the lawsuit and nothing was concealed. At a minimum, that’s what we can do as the student newspaper.”

Here’s Susan Collins walking in a parade-style campaign event. She’s concerned and wants to give Maine six more years of MAGA and corruption. Kudos to whoever took this video and captured the gas station sign.

I gasped! The Mighty Sparrow has left us. One of the most important and popular Calypsonians to ever do it! Songs filled political fire, irreverence, humor, naughty (very, very naughty) banter, and beats that make you wind your waist! Rest in Power, Sparrow. www.nytimes.com/2026/09/27/a...

The Mighty Sparrow, Trinidadian Titan of Calypso, Is Dead at 91

He was sometimes described as the last of the true calypso singers. But in fact he simultaneously preserved calypso tradition and invented it anew.

This story brought me back to Kara, one of the mothers in my book, There Is No Place for Us. She was homeless with her four kids while driving for DoorDash. They had to pee in bottles so bathroom stops wouldn't make her late. After gas, she earned $6.50 an hour—75 cents less than the minimum wage.

DoorDash spent $1.4M trying to stop Zohran Mamdani from becoming mayor. This week's historic $131.5M enforcement action against DoorDash for underpaying NYC delivery workers shows why. Yet another reminder that the only thing that can beat organized money is organized people.

Mary Peltola stood in Valdez with prices every Alaskan understands: $5.25 for gas, $6.75 for diesel. Dan Sullivan voted 12 times to continue the Iran war. Each vote drove fuel costs higher across Alaska. He chose the war. Alaskan families, fishermen, and truckers got the bill.
